Our Casa Rosada is old and rustic. In keeping with the colonial and indigenous feel of San Cristobal, Deborah, our English landlord, has decorated the house with many interesting and beautiful pieces of art and native handicrafts. In my view, the house itself is a work of art.
Many of the pieces of furniture in the house are carved in a colonial style.
Mayan textiles are used throughout the house.
Pottery form other parts of Mexico include the purified-water jug we use each day
Two prints in a more modern Mexican style adorn the walls of our bedroom
Just catching up on the last couple posts. I've enjoyed the photos of the folk art and textiles along with your adventures! Make the best of your colds! Jim has one too and I'm trying to stay away so he doesn't share it with me!
